Whenever I open an Excel spreadsheet stored on my Snap Server (NAS) and try to save it. I get an error message telling me that the file can't be found. If I close it, the file on the server will be replaced by a file with an arcane number code in place of the original name (such as "0AC13000"), and the changes I made to the original will be gone.
I'm using Excel v. 11.1 (040909) and Tiger (10.4.1). Strangely enough, it doesn't seem to happen when I log onto the server with a machine running Panther.
Does Excel create a temp file when it opens that might be getting "confused" as to where it is?
