The screen on my original Tangerine clamshell ibook has started to flicker. The screen will LOOSE about 20% of its brightness for a second then go back to normal brightness. It will do this several times in a row rapidly, causing a flickering sequence.
It will also do the opposite...screen will GAIN about 20% brightness for a second then go back to normal brigtness. Sometimes this gain in brightness can last several seconds or more.
Flickering does not seem affected if I move the screen back and forth on the hinge.
The problem seems intermittent with no rhyme or reason as to the flickering. Doesn't appear to be affected by how long the ibook is powered up.
Only the brightness is affected...no other screen issues noted.
I searched the forums but could not find an answer to this problem.
