After spending sevral hours with Apple Tech support trying to resolve why I would get a blue screen and the spinning beach ball that required cutting the power to stop we figured out that Norton file saver (System works 2.0) was the cause. Sent a post to Symantec and got a rather sarcastic reply but they did admit that there was a problem and they were working on it. In the meantime they do have a complicated solution, I found a better one- just turn it off. The Apple tech (2nd level) was quite helpful and they had not been aware of the problem. I am finding that the unix in system X can do many of the fixes that Norton's does.
