I just got my first mac, and im not sure if its got jaguar on it. Its a 17" powerbook and it says under mac info that its OS X 10.2.6 But it doesn't say anything about Jaguar. And i've tryed using a application that was for jaguar only, and it didn't work. But it said anything over 10.2 Jaguar is ok. Do i not have jaguar and are there two OS X 10.2's?

Jaguar is 10.2...and anything higher than that...all the way to 10.2.6. You have Jaguar, rest assured.

What I can't help you with is why your application is not working. If you could tell us what app it is, we might have better luck assisting you.

As said, Jaguar is 10.2. :)

Which application? How it didn't work? Be more specific please.

Yes, ten-point-two-point-anything is Jaguar. And rest assured that the version you have installed, 10.2.6, is the most up to date version currently available to the public.

As for the application, why don't you fill us in on the details and we'll see if we can help you. What we really need to know is:

- What the application is.
- What happens when you try and run it.
- Any *specific* errors that come up.

Well the application i was having trouble with as called menumeters, i got it off of apple.com, but it seems to be working fine right now, kind of a fluke i guess. On that note, anyone know of any cool menu extras?? I also just got massinova and i think its a great idea, but i can't figure out how to play that cast, if anyone knows how that would also be much appreciated:D
