I updated to 10.3.6 yesterday (from 10.3.4 I think) And now my USB thumb drive - flash card whatever you call it - won't mount now. Used to be I just pop it in and it mounted. Is there a utility or driver or anything I need?
Some more info - I took the same USB drive home and it mounted fine on my 10.3.4 (? note sure about the 4)
On my work 10.3.6 Mac, System Profiler lists a USB drive
USB Bus
Hub in Apple Extended USB Keyboard
USB Disk
Apple Optical USB Mouse
Apple Extended USB Keyboard

USB DISK:

Vendor Name:
Product ID: 256 ($100)
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Serial Number: 07440F3B06D7
Bus Power (mA): 100

My drive is 32MB - don't know if that 256 has anything to do with 256MB
Thanks

try popping it in then opening disk utility...

that seems to solve a similar problem i have when using other peoples flashdrives.

I had an issue like this. I put my friends flash drive in. work. no problem. the next day, he came around again, and when we plugged it in, it came up saying "you have inserted a disk that Mac OSX does not recognise". What the heck is going on?

I was just about to ask - How can I reformat it when it won't even show up as a drive?... but then I rebooted with the flash drive inserted, and it then mounted! go figure.
