OS X 10.3 vs. 10.3 Server

I was wondering if someone can explain the advantage of having 10.3 Server over just 10.3? In my situation, I've about 5 Windows and Apple computers on a network. Some of the computers need to access files that are kept on a certain hard drive of one of the computers. Currently these are just client computers. I'm thinking of getting a Mac mini as a file, print, and database server. But what makes it worth putting OS X Server on the computer? I don't believe we'll need to do Mail or web server features.

In the past I've had problems with permissions only correctable by using Sharepoints when moving files from one computer to the next. Will OS X Server require this solution too?

Ok. as you can see, I have Server running. It depends on how much security you want. client has enough ability to share files to Mac and Windows clients, but it isn't particularly easy to set up anything more than simple permissions. Server is very much the opposite. it is VERY easy to setup shares with varying security.. and if you base your accounts on the server, you get even more control!
