On the Macworld Expo website, for the schedule it lists:

This basically confirms that a new Mac OS X will debut at Macworld. Anyone agree?

It might as well be a presentation of the current state of the OS. Many companies still use OS 9 as their basic OS, and Apple might want to persuade them to make the jump to OS X.

But OS 10.2 would be cool ;)

I would be surprised if Apple didn't debut 10.2 after all the hype this Macworld is getting.

I don't think this confirms OS X 10.2 at all. As ulrik said, it's just to show off to companies who haven't made the change yet. I would be VERY (albeit happy) surprised if OS X 10.2 was shipping. No doubt we'll get a sneak peek at it, but it won't ship for a few months now, at least.

I would love to see Jobs convince users to go to X finally. It would at least hopefully give companies a kick in the ass to get more software out for it. I'm not satisified with comments that stuff will run in Classic. I don't even want Classic on my machine. :) Plus, you get comments from the average plebian Mac user about OS X, the ones who say that Mac OS pre-X is so much better than other OS's, yet I watch their machines crash all day long. They simply will tell you that it's pretty when you ask why it's better. A Mac guy at work the other day said "OS X sucks", with no basis whatsoever. Probably heard it from someone else and decided to take that opinion. Pisses me off. Freakin' sheep. I thought Apple's motto was "Think Different". :-/

hazmet - you gotta remember - a mac is so easy to use even an idiot can do it:D
