OS X/9.1 Installation problems

I know I screwed up big time here, but maybe somebody can shed some light here...

I Installed OSX, realising during installation I had only 9.01 installed (I thought I had 9.2 installed like I do at work). I figured I could update to 9.1 during OS X installation, but I thought wrong.

OS X was running fine, but I couldn't launch classic becasue it wasn't 9.1

It was kind of late, I couldn't find any answers, so I restared into my 9.01 phase and updated to 9.1 (this I believe was a stupid thing to do).

Now I can't figure out how to get back into OS X. Although my system folder seems to show all the files created from it, when I go into the "startup" control panel, it doesnt show the user I created in OS X. Can anybody direct me on whether it's a simple solution, a url to the complicated solution... anything?

Thanks in advance!

On your OS 9 CD(or OS X, I think) there's a classic app called Startup Disk. Use that, and you'll be fine

Hello,
I ran into much the same problem. I have a 7300 with a 400MHz Sonnet card and 9.1. I succeeded in installing 10.2 quite easily. But when trying to run a Classic-program, I was asked to update to 9.2, by inseting the 9.2 CD. But I do not have such a cd, only the software to update 9.1 to 9.2.1. Trying to run this updater, activated Classic again, teling me I have to update first, etc.
After a restart I was not able to run OSX again, even after choosing it in Startup Disk (9.2.1 US version).
What to do?
