OS X application won't launch

I have several Mac Intel quad core systems with 10.4.11 loaded and running a software program that launches from an application called musicsource_hd.osx. I installed the software on each machine individually. Three of the machines run the program flawlessly. But I have two machines that won't launch the application file, and give me the error "unable to read the dictionary of the application or extension because it is not scriptable." In addition, upon loading the software, the icon that was associated with the musicsource_hd.osx application was changed to the Applescript (paper and pen) on both the Mac Intel and the external hard drive from which I transferred the files! Yet I can take the external drive to another Mac Intel and it displays the application file with the correct icon and executes it correctly! Is there something wrong with my Library files on the non-functional machines? Thanks in advance for the help.
