OS X Desktop redraw problems

I have a G4 PowerBook 550. While using os 10, I have noticed that there seems to be "Desktop shadow residue". To put another way......There a slivers of file graphics left on my desktop. Its funny cause it kind of looks like dirt. The only way to rid of it is to resize my desktop icons.

This happens constantly! And it is now annoying.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is this the new Radeon card they put in these things? I'm not knowing.

I need guidance.

Hi,
I have too noticed this problem, on my iMac
so I don't think it is your video card. Also on
the macnn forums in the general osx forum, there
is a posting about the 10.1.2 update. In this
someone has posted the list of bug fixes, and
this is one of them. So when 10.1.2 appears
(of when I have no idea) this should be fixed.

Though one thing I have noticed, if one uses the
solid dark grey background, it doesn't seem to
occur as much.
