Seems like fonts, maybe using style sheets, display in Symbol font not in standard fonts.
Eg apple.com/news nearly all body copy is Symbol font though headlines are fine.
The same comes in in Mail if a style sheet seems to have been used.
Mind you this style sheet thing is a guess of mine. Maybe I've deleted the font it is seeking.
My Mac is a 20' Imac G5 with 1.5Gb of Ram.
Running Indesign and Suitcase XI and Microsoft Office.
