Recently my mac (intel iMac) started refusing to boot into it's OS X partition. It appeared on the startup selection screen as 'EFI Boot' and I tryed to use disk utility to repair/verify the hard drive, which one both counts failed with "disk sibling" error.
I then, after backing up all my data off the HDD, tryed to install Snow Leopard on a completely zeroed HDD and it crashed halfway through, twice, at different points.
I then tryed to install Leopard (10.5) which did the exact same.
My Windows partition is working completely fine, but OS X just refuses to install on the other partition.
Thank you if you can shield some light on the situation.
