Hey folks,
I encountered a weird problem today. OS X on my MBP hung while I was working in Word 2008. I intermittently got the pinwheel o' doom for a few minutes before it became constant. The cursor moved, but nothing else would respond. I tried a hard restart and when it tried to reboot it just sat at the gray start-up screen with the apple and the little pinwheel spinning underneath. It sat there for a good 20 minutes before I restarted again. Boot Camp loads XP just fine so I figured the hardware isn't the problem. I completely wiped the OS X partition (zeroed out with the disk utility) and restored it from most recent Time Machine backup. Same deal. Any thoughts? I'm stumped...
