First of all, I am using a router in a place that doesn't want us using routers because of an already complex network system.
Here is my dilema, we have the base network that the two connections are on...we have a G5 and a router connected at this level.
Now the G5 can't see the printer being shared through the iMac.
On the router we then have a an imac with printer sharing enabled. I have tried forwarding ports 515 and 631 to the iMac's IP on the router. I've also tried DMZ. Nothing has worked.
Any ideas? We really need this to work.
If you are wondering why we are using this crazy setup, its because we only have one printer, and the boss needs to print too...but his office is too far away to put the wireless router to be useful to anyone, and he locks his door, so we can't put the printer in there or else we can't get our print jobs. We don't have the money to buy any equipment at this time.
