Os/x Server Vpn/pptp Strange Problem

Hi, I'm having a problem that is stumping me. I'm setting up a corporate network, a simple setup with a number of clients and an OS/X server behind a Linksys router (BEFSX41). I've done similar things many times. I'm trying to set up a simple PPTP VPN using the OS/X server. The router is set to passthrough port 1723 and PPTP Passthrough is on.

What is happening is that I am able to establish the VPN connection fine. The client detects no trouble. But nothing works. When I look at the log on the client, or the log on the server, I am seeing the same error for pretty much every packet:

The alleged Unsupported protocol # changes with every packet, so it is clearly not a real protocol error. It looks like there is some noise. I thought it might be an encryption problem, but everything looks like it is set properly. As I said, the connection is made and does not terminate with an error, it is only when I look at the log that I can see that every packet is being rejected with this error.

Has anyone ever seen this? Any suggestions? I've already swapped out the router to no avail, and checked to make sure that the error does not come from the ISP.

Thanks!
