OS X Won't connect to server

Hi, I have a mac running OS X connecting to a windows server using extreme ZIP. Starting today, when the Mac attempts to connect, it prompts for the username and password and when entered it just sits on the spinning wheel for a secound or two, then the computer freezes. The only way to unfreeze is reboot. I've let it sit this way for 20 mins hoping it was just slow, but nothing. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated greatly.

What os is the server? Win2k, 2003?. If it is try stopping and starting the Apple services first, go to run, type services.msc, browse down to apple services, stop them all, then restart them. then try to logon again. You could reboot the server, this has the same effect.

Its 2k3. I'll try rebooting, Though I don't think its a server problem. This is the only Mac that seems to have the problem. It doesn't even give an error message. It just freezes. Thanks for the help.
