I have a sawtooth with 9 on it and I am tryin to run it at 1600-1200 60htz on my HP LP2065 LCD. THat is the native res and refresh of the LCD. I am using the dvi port on the back. The LCD has 2 DVD-I ports on the back. I think I can use teh VGA port with a DVI to VGA cable but I want to use the DVI port. It is the stock Rage 128.

I plan on getting a better card but don't want to spend APPLE money on 1. I have a few AGP cards I plan on flashing.

I also have a quicksilver with teh same issue. That one has the stock GF2mx with ADC and VGA. I dont think that one works even with the VGA.

I have not searched yet but I also have an Acer 19 at 1440-900 that i will try now. I dont have that res in teh monitor CP right now. Will it pop up when I plug the 19 LCD in?

Give the Acer a try. Not all monitors are compatible with a Mac. You may need to get the DVI/VGA converter.
