OSInstall.dist (10.4)

This concerns the 10.4 dvd install disk(s) which came with my iMac G5. I control/click on the install dvd and then click 'show package contents', the contents show, then I do the same for the 'OSInstall.mpkg', again the contents arte shown, now I want to do the same for the 'OSInstll.dist' pkg but the 'show package contents' option does not appear in the drop down menu.

Is there a way to open this package and view its contents?

'OSInstll.dist' of '/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg/Contents/OSInstall.dist' - is just an XML (text) file.

Drag the file onto 'TextEdit' (in the '/Applications/' folder) to view.
