OSX and Sony800i phone (file transfering)

Recently purchased w800i/ mp3 phone and looking to move music tracks from i tunes to the phone. This is proving no so simple. There is a Dreamsicle OSX program but the phone is not being seen, via the USB.
Does anyone know of any easy solutions to solve this seemingly common problem. Software provided is XP,200 and ME but no mac compatible.
Iadeas please as I'm running out of them. Can this be done via bluetooth?
Currently using 10.3.9/ g4 powerbook with orange
 
No joywith the link, tried that before, doesn't transfer files to phone.
Have read many negatives about this issue. Still looking for solution.
The old walkmans never had so much fuss, they just worked!
