OSX archive and OS9 question

I have just installed my Sonnet Encore 1.8 processor and had to upgrade the firmware via OS9, I had a few problems on start up so I reinstalled OSX with the archive option, I have a few questions:

1. Can I uninstall OS9 now I've upgraded the firmware?

2. Since I archived OSX on reinstalling it can I remove the 'Previous Systems' foler from my HDD or will lose my present applications/settings?

I was just going to create some room on my OS drive as it's only 20gb (120gb HDD for storage)

I'll just leave it rather than cause any problems, thanks for the help. :)
