OSX as a printer server on a hybrid network

Hello All

Is anybody using OSX as a printer server on a network comprised of OSX, Unix and Linux boxes? I haven't been able to find any leads describing how to do this.

Will OSX only function as a printer server for other MAcs? No lpr or CUPs support?

I see that this stuff is available on OSX Server edition, which means probably not on the OSX client. Man that really stinks ...

MacOSX 10.2 will quite happy act as a print server ona network using the cups protocol. The website www.cups.org is quite helpful. Searching this site for macosx and cups will get you a lot of great advice
