Having trouble getting OSX in any flavour to run on the last dual boot dual processor G4 (1.25MHz) with 5 PCI slots.
Installers (including Tiger) run fine but when restarted the display remains dark except for the odd pixel breakthrough. The music for the configuration app can be heard and if you cursor around using the arrow keys, the speech output gives some of the options for loaction etc, but it is impossible to get through the whole thing.
I suspect the problem is either with the video card nVidia Ge-Force4 ti 6400 or the drivers for it.
The machine originally booted fine into OSX when purchased two years ago but after a crash last year, it now will only work on OS9.2.2
Any suggestions of things to try would be most welcome
