OSX font wont work in classic...

Ok, so I have a font which I want to use in a Flash site I am doing. I dont have Flash MX yet and the damn font isnt working. I moved it to the classic fonts system folder and it shows up and displays (badly) in Flash classic but wont export at all in the SWF. SO, is there a utility which will convert an OSX capable font for classic? thanks.
