I have been using three differen web browsers and not a one of them works anymore. they have fallen one by one to the Dark Lord of the OSX. Started using IE.. until it crashed one day and when I restarted it it just froze up never to be used again... reinstalled IE and nothing ... still wont start up. Next installed Netscape... worked great for 2 or so weeks... then smame thing... it crashed... and when I restarted it, it froze up never to be rectified... reinstaling, pashaww...no match for the OSX dark lord! Next came Camino, a great web browser and very fast comparied to IE and netscape... I loved it till just today it crashed and burned... again never to be restarted again...
What the freek is going on here... Ive never had these problems before and the weiredest thing is unistalling and reistalling the softwear does no good at all... Can any one wave me from the Dark Lord of the OSX?????

Thanks for all you suggestionsss...
Dave

Wait, how often do they crash? All browsers crash sometimes (not as often as on windows). Sometimes e.g. for poorly made flash advertisings (like on NY Times). If the crashes are always on the same site, it might be that.

Have you tried Safari?

I understand that browsers crash.. thats not the issue. The issue is after one particular crash the browser wont start up any more... Not at all.. Never again will it start up... I just want it to start up again ... but it wont... not any of em...

Try two things:
1) Download Safari from Apple's web site
2) Delete the preference files for the browsers. They are located in ~/Library/Preferences, I think.

Hmm, maybe Apple is taking a page from M$ and making sure that Safari becomes the "preferred" browser on OSX ;)

You should also run the Disk Utility First Aid just to elimiate the possiblity that you might be having physical disk corruption...
