hi, hope someone can shed some light on a little problem i'm experiencing. I'm using Xserve 10.4 and my user accounts are Active Directory accounts. I have setup a opendirectory local group and added my AD accounts to that group to allow permission via ACL. When a user creates a folder or file on a shared drive permissions are set to:
owner: username: read write
group: read only
everyone: read only
When a user creates a folder locally on the mac and copies it to the server, the folder inherits the correct permissions as in....
owner: username: read write
group: read write
everyone: read write
Can anyone offer some suggestions? or is anyone also using AD account on Xserve and experiencing similar permissions errors?
