OSX STARTUP

Two questions:

1. Is the startup on OSX generally faster than OS9

2. Does anyone out there think the final version out will include "instant-on" startup?

On my computer the beta loads faster than OS 9 so I'm sure the final OS X will boot very quickly compared to OS 9. In regards to "instant-on" I just read an article on either macosrumors.com or go2mac.com that Apple is expirementing with this "instant-on" feature which would supposedly startup your computer in a couple of seconds. And that isn't the same as waking it up.

I saw it there also, but it seemed like it was a old idea rather than a new one. Perhaps it is all just the speculation that happens before every new OS
