just got a printer for christmas, the epson stylus photo R320. got it all setup and put in the software install cd, and nothing happened. the disc does not mount, does not spin, and does not eject. when i first put it in, i realized that it wasnt spinning or mounting, so i pressed the eject key on the keyboard and that icon popped up on the screen but nothing happened. after that no icon, no nothing.

things i have tried to get it out...
*Command-Option-O-F, boot to firmware, and typed in "eject cd", it gave me a message that said something along the lines of "cd cannot be opened"
*hold down eject on restart
*hold down left mouse button on restart
*disk utility does show it either

I have an imac g5 so its the pesky slot loading drive, and am running 10.4.3

Have you tried bypassing the drivers in the CD and downloading the latest software from Epson for Tiger? That might be a better option if only this CD is causing the problems.

Reboot and hold down the mouse button after the startup chime. That should spit out the CD.
