OSX to Server SBE 2003- Micro drop outs

We are running parallels 4 on 2 brand new and up to date iMacs connected via ethernet connections to a SBE 2003 server. 1 connection is okay except for continual tiny drop outs which then resolve themselves. The problem is we run 3 databases and this crashes them... The other mac has the same issue but also has a very slow connection speed to the sever but firefox runs fine.

Running on a linksys wireless gateway with a separate network switching box.

Please help, my business partner is driving me nuts as we are continually having to go to the old workstations to use the databases.

please be reasonably simple in responses, I'm no IT genius, just learning with macs but have reasonable general windows computer knowledge.

Well none guru you should realize an 'IT' person is not what you need. You neeed a 'Networking Administrator'.

Since there is a Microsoft 2003 Server here did you make sure the Macs are using the same DNS and Time Server the server is using? I ask this because it sounds as if you are having Kerberos problem (with timing differences).
