Other Language keyboard support in the terminal

Been using OS X since the early Rhapsody DR2 in 98 but I'm still waiting for my BETA from Apples Developer Connection. The biggest frustration with the Developer Releases was trying to configure the Terminal application to accept a Norwegian Keyboard. anybody know if I can do it using xf86config or something?

Anybody else managed to create the local keyboard in the Terminal Application?
 
I'm not sure for Norwegian, but it works with the German keyboard. I had to switch on the German keyboard in system preferences and switch off the US keyboard. Under options you might have to deactivate the option to automatically switch keyboards depending on content. After that the keyboard was recognized in the terminal window.
