Panther and Power Mac

Panther doesn't support systems which didn't have USB installed in them from the factory. There are some ways around that, but they're a bit hairy IMO. I had it on the Beige G3 for a very short time...reformatted and reinstalled 10.1.5. Just more problems than it was worth.

Not trying to argue or anything, but I just installed Panther on an old 7600/200 with a G3/400MHz upgrade card and it worked just fine. No hitches at all. There are success stories, and there are failure stories -- doesn't hurt to try, though! ;)

If you wanna try, and need help, I've been working with XPostFacto for about a year now trying it out on old machines with a good rate of success (not 100%, but still high) so please don't hesitate to post your progress... good luck!
