Panther/G5 Dual, Auto shot OFF. Is this possible?

I was on line viewing posts I have on certain sites, when my computer shut itself off automatically. The power had not turned itself off in the house, so I knew it had nothing to do with a neighborhood problem.

When I logged back on to various sites, all of my Logic and Passwords had to be reinitiated.

Is there a way to turn off the auto shut off?

I'm running Panther 10.3.1 on a G5 dual.

Chances are it overheated.

Allow the vents to all be uncovered. If this persists, you might want to check that all your internal fans are working. If you aren't accustomed to the internal functioning of a computer, it's a relatively small job for any computer store.

did you check your settings in System Preferences - Energy Saver?

Well, for testing first on Highest Performance. This way there is no energy saving on..
