Hello,
I am looking for a way to password protect folders and files. I stumbled on selecting a folder then 'Get Info' and set 'Sharing & Permissions:' to write only for all, Making it a drop box.
That works neat, I thought, or does it?
A while later I found that if I look for the folder in 'Spotlight' I can find it and open it and have full access to the folder and its files without any password protection. I am doing this on Leopard.
Seem like a major screw up to me, or am I missing something?
Robert
I am editing this message as I made a mistake. I cannot reproduce what I said and I do not know what I was actually doing when I made this mistake. I must have had the folder un-password protected.
Sorry for the mix up
