PB dropped - no parachute

So things arent looking good for the ol' powerbook. it got knocked off a table about three feet high. every thing seems ok but the screen (see img). Now i suppose i could deal with the cool black broken crystal effect or at least convince myself its cool and supposed to be there but the multi-colored lines are a little harder to swallow. is there any hope for this?

Well, It looks like if you replaced the LCD then it should fix the problem.

There is a (pretty) slim chance though that it is a motherboard but I would be surprised if that was the case.

Use it a bit more to make sure everything works (so that it is only the screen that is broken).
With some luck you can find a screen at ebay etc, if you are not afraid to repair it yourself. Will take a while to take the pbook apart but I'd give it a shot. Maybe finding a powerbook of hte same model that does not work but has a working screen could work for getting parts.
