Hello folks, it's rather early her --to me at least ;-) Hoping you guys are having a kicking time too...

Today, five minutes ago, when I started up this beast (PowerMac G4 17" http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/17-167.html )... an noted a strange thing.

The Apple logo, usually in the center of the screen (with a round spinning progress marker below), has been changed to something else. What it is cannot be better said than that it lools like a tv set at a dead channel... if anyone know what the heck this is, and what can be done about it, I'd appreciate it.

And of course, if you don't, I can take a photograph of the freaking thing with my camera and upload it to accessable server for you to watch for yourself.

Anyone?

Reboot the computer and hold down the option key while it is starting up - you should see a list of volumes to boot to.

Hi.

I've now done that and sure it made the trick.

But may I ask what the heck this is? How did you know this? What is that picture? I'm interested ;-).
