How can i do to run pc games in my apple... i try with virtual pc... but it doesnt run any games....i have a mac-pc lan and i want to have some fun playing lan games.. any recomendations???
Well, when you consider which PC games have been ported over to the Mac, it's mostly the games that are most popular like Unreal Tournament 2004 or Quake 3 and the like. It's always been like that on the Mac platform which I personally think is a good thing. Sure there are tons more game titles on the Windows side, but have you played some of them?? They tend to suck more often than not.
Try and get the games that have ports over to the Mac, that way you'll be assured of awesome gameplay on both platforms.
Also, if you happen to own the PC versions of some particular games, then the Mac OS X update - freely downloadable - will allow you to play the game. This was true of Quake 1 and 2, and Unreal Tournament. You simply had to setup the game on a PC, and copy the entire game folder across to your Mac, then install the Mac OS X update patch for that game and Viola*!
tsk. theres no such roman numeral as IIX. Eight would be VIII! But yeah, back to subject on hand. Nadda. Nope. I used to play a lot of games then i kinda stopped and when I got my mac, I stopped almost altogether. I have Quake 3 and Halo but aside from that occasionally I dont play much anymore. If you wanna play games on a mac, make sure its a good system and that you are aware of the games available.
