PDf in Safari keeps asking which acrobat to use

PDF files in safari have recently started asking (by presenting an open dialogue window) which acrobat application to view PDF files with becuase if can't find one. Anyone know how to fix this permanently, it happens after every time safari is started and a PDF is called.
 
Download the latest version of Adobe Reader. That should be as easy as starting the version you have and checking for updates under its Help menu.

There was an update this week so unless you've already updated it will update. Make sure you quit any browsers before it updates.

You can also use Onyx (the correct version for your O/S) and make sure the Automatically open .pdf-files in Safari box is checked. That's under Parameters -> Safari.
 
You might instead be able to get info on a PDF in the Finder, ensure it's set to open in Preview, and change all PDFs. I think Safari respects the Open With preference for PDFs and uses Preview to display them in the browser.
