permission and user troubles

1) I am the main user of my computer, my account is an admin account, lets call my account user1. User1 is the first account that was set up and user1 created all other users:
I also set up an account for user2, user3 etc
all users have admin privileges, but only user2 can access the desktop folder(HD--->desktop). When logged on as user1 or user3 i cannot acces the folder and info shows that only user2 is the owner of desktop folder and only user2 has access privileges!

How can i set up an admin account that truly has ALL privileges?? I tried logging in as user2 and then creating an new admin user, but the problem of the restricted desktop folder remains.

I repaired all the permissions starting up from the CD

2) i had my computer repaired; since then there is this root user account called "other..." in the login window. How do i get rid of this "other..." account? I cannot find it in the preferences pane

For number two, open "NetInfo Manager" in the Utilities folder. From the "Security" menu up top, select "Disable Root User".

For number one, I'm a little stumped -- I'm assuming that the "Desktop" folder you speak of is the OS 9 Desktop folder, since the users' Desktop folders are located in the users' respective home folders. Have you tried logging in as the user that has access to the Desktop folder, then changing the permissions on the desktop folder so that everyone can read/write to it?
