Since I updated my system to 10.3.3 the Desktop has started doing it's on weird cloning experiments.
It keeps making a clone of a current desktop icon, when I trash the clone the original icon trashes too, when I view the trash there is only one icon in the trash. Then if I drag it back to the desktop it clones itself again.
I've rebuilt the desktop using one of the rebuild utilities available and that hasn't fixed it, I've deleted all the icons off the desktop and made new short cuts, I've even removed them all in console mode. It's really annoying me has any body had the same thing and fixed it? if so how?
