Why is the camera struck through with a white line and not working on my Photo Booth window.
Please advise.

Well maybe if you try to do a simple geek step it might fix it. Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal & copy and paste the line in the prompt: sudo killall VDCAssistant , then input your password. This should fix the problem, Good Luck.
