photo editing

I was wondering if there was any photo editing that anyone can recommend. I like iPhoto, but don't like how limited the editing ability is. I am a new mac user, and not familiar with any good program to download or purchase. THANK YOU for any assistance!
 
Editing is a pretty broad term... I could recommend software from the lowest end (free) like ToyViewer to the highest end (and most expensive) like Photoshop. What is it you want to do?

A good mid-range editor would be Photoshop Elements... but if you don't need that much, maybe a free solution would work for you.
 
THANK YOU for your help. I will check out the free one that you mentioned. I might consider Photoshop Element. I did see it at the Apple store when I was there, but didn't know anything about it. I don't need the full blown Photo Shop I am sure. Not smart enough to do all that! :) THANK YOU for taking time to respond. I appreciate it!
