photo enhancer?

heyhey!!
just wondering: took some digital snaps and my subject's a little bit far away (i was at a concert) - any way of zooming in on it, yet retain the pic quality as well? im not after a miracle, but is there anything that can do this, even on a small scale?

You can try using PhotoShop and bi-cubic interpolation. This will use applied mathematics to fill in the details. It won't create new data out of thin air though so you will always effectively lose sharpness in the process. If you don't have PhotoShop I believe that gimp has similar features.

For moderate enlargement the results should be acceptable if the image going in was acceptable.
