I use Photoshop 12.0.12 (CS5) on Mac OS X 10.6.6. A couple of days ago I updated the CS5 software, and I believe my current inability to scan might stem from that update.
After a cold boot, I'm able to make one scan in Photoshop. Beyond that, when I try to import from the scanner (Canoscan 8400F), the beachball begins rotating as soon as I click on the Preview button, Photoshop stalls, and I have to force-quit. Relaunching Photoshop or restarting the Mac on a warm boot do not resolve the problem.
Here's what I've tried so far:
1. Restarted the Mac
2. Repaired permissions
3. Replaced the TWAIN.plugin with the latest version (12 Nov 2010).
I've had no trouble scanning in Preview.
Can you offer any ideas?
