Photoshop 6.0 doesn't work for Mac OS X?

Is there a driver hich allows me to install Photoshop Version 6.0 -I don't want to pay another $250 to update to version 7.0. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
I'm unfamiliar with that version of photoshop - is it an OS 9 version? If so, you can probably run it via Classic mode (unless you're using an intel machine).
 
That's probably exactly the problem. I've successfully used PS 6.0 in Classic back then, but you won't be able to run this on an intel Mac, since there's no Classic environment. The least you'd need to find would be an upgrade to Photoshop 7, which was the first OS X native version. That should run on an intel Mac in Rosetta emulation.
