Ok...I have an imac running OSX 10.1. I also have a laptop running Windows XP that has a wireless nettwork connection. The two are both hooked to a Cable Router. Is there a way to play the MP3's that are stored on my mac (there are quite a few) on my PC laptop without copying them onto the laptop or a cd.
I have tried Remote Desktop Connection but can't get it to work. I thought maybe I could turn my mac into a server that only my PC laptop can see but no such luck.
Basically, I want to open winamp or musicmatch on my laptop and play the mp3 files that are stored on my imac. Can this be done? If so...how?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I know about Dave for OSX but $150 seems like alot of money to let a mac and pc talk to each other. Besides, it still my not work.
