Playing mp3 CDs in iTunes...

I have many mp3 CDs that I have burnt for use with my portable mp3 CD player. There're about 1500 songs altogether, which won't FIT on my MacOS X computer's hard disk, which is where I have a problem.

Every time I put one of my mp3 CDs into my Powerbook, and try to play them in iTunes, iTunes insists on copying them to my library first!

As I said, I haven't got ROOM on my Mac to have all the songs on the Hard Disk.

Is there some way to stop iTunes from copying mp3s on *MP3 CDS* not audio CDs to my library before playing them?

Yes, there is. Open up iTunes and then select "Preferences" from the "iTunes" menu. Select the "Advanced" tab, and deselect "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library". That should do the trick.

If that doesn't work, well, hmm... that's strange!
