Playstation Emulator Help Please.

So I'm stuck in Manhattan, I just really want to play final fantasy tactics. You feel me?

So I downloaded the tactics "rom" and the format is .img...
And it seems like all of the emulators I've found only run off the CD ROM.
My question is:

*Is there a PS1 emulator for mac that runs roms.
*If so, where can I find it
*finally, is my Tactics "rom" even the right format.

That .img file is a disk image. You can burn the .img to a CD with Disk Utility or other disc-burning software. You can also mount the disk image without burning it, but I'm not sure if that will work with any of the emulators available.

Be warned, the current state of PlayStation emulation is pretty poor.
