I sincerely hope that someone can help me out here, as I am totally desperate.....
My 1 year old son managed to press a few keys on the keyboard while my Mac was on Sleep. Next thing I know, it asks me to log on again, so I was surprised he managed to press the log out shortcut :-S
I try to open Mail (I run OS X 10.2.8 and Mail 1.2.5) but it suddenly tells me that there are no mailboxes, and that I need to add a new account!!!! I have no idea how this happened, and it has never happened before. So, I cancel, log out, and restart the computer. When I log on again, same thing. So, I enter a mail address to create an account, and cross my fingers.
My Inbox is EMPTY!!!!! And so is the trash. My folders are still there though, and all my accounts have been deleted. The only thing still there are a few messages in the Sent folder, back to 2003. I simply don't get this.
I looked everywhere in the main trash, and there is nothing looking like my lost inbox. Did several google searches, but I can't find any advice.
Does anyone here know how I can retrieve my lost inbox??? It is so important to me that I don't even know what to do next....
