I'm regularly getting an error message that says "you must restart your computer" in english and several other languages. When this happens, the computer freezes and I have to restart.
It doesn't happen right away when I start up, and when it happens, it seems to vary. Sometimes its just a minute or two after startup, other times it could be 30 minutes or more. But it happens every time for the past couple of days. Of course, my extended warranty ran out just a few months ago.
Any ideas about what to do? I've seen some advice about reinstalling OSX. Is this definitely a software problem, or could it be hardware? Also, I'm on a trip right now so I don't have my OSX disk with me until I get home in a few days. Any way to address this problem without the disk at my disposal right away?
