Where has the option gone to post a poll?

And if we can't delete our own posts anymore, why is the option still there?

1) site contributors and staff can start polls. this is the one and only change in the priviledges of the average member.

2) so i can delete them

well, actually so the moderation staff can do so when need be. the problem has been with people deleting meaningful stuff in the past. so now we simply doublecheck. if you have something that needs deleting, just tell the mod of that forum and they will remove it if appropriate.

Really? That's a problem?

Seems like it is much more likely that someone will double-post and want to delete the 2nd one then someone actively deleting a "meaningful" message.

Besides, what's to keep someone from simply edting their "meaningful" posts.

Taking away deletion seems like it will simply create more busy work for you folks. But it you have the time...

Give a dollar or two and you too can post polls.

Poll posting ability is limited to those who contribute financially or are a moderator.
