POP email: FreePOPs

I've tried this on 10.4.11 without success. Does it really work? Can I really access a free Yahoo email account via POP?

I used MacFreePOP's for a while with a newish Hotmail acct and it worked fine but then all of a sudden I had trouble with the Hotmail acct always showing as offline so I just ended up uninstalling MFP.
